Privacy Policy

The short version: UseUp has no advertising or cross-app tracking. Optional product analytics is sent to Mixpanel only if you choose to share it. Package scanning happens on your device. Your kitchen data stays on your device unless you choose private iCloud sync. Purchase processing is handled by Apple and RevenueCat.
1. Information in the UseUp app
You can save item names, quantities, prices, expiry dates, notes, photos, plans, shopping-list entries, and preferences. This information is stored on your device. If you enable iCloud Sync, Apple stores and synchronizes it in your private iCloud database under your Apple Account. UseUp's developer cannot browse your private iCloud database.
2. Camera scans and scan logs
UseUp uses Apple's camera and Vision frameworks to recognize package text on your device. Package images and recognized text are not uploaded to UseUp servers. A diagnostic scan log may be saved locally in the app's documents container so you can inspect, copy, or clear it from Settings. It leaves your device only if you choose to share it.
3. Purchases
Apple processes all App Store purchases. RevenueCat helps the app verify purchases and Pro access. For that purpose, RevenueCat may process an anonymous app-user identifier, purchase history, transaction status, storefront or country, and basic app or device information. UseUp does not receive your payment-card details. Purchase information is used only to provide and restore purchased features, prevent fraud, and troubleshoot purchase delivery.
4. Website and waitlist
If you join the website waitlist, we collect your email address along with limited request information such as the page and referral source, user agent, country code, and a one-way hash of the network address. This data is used to manage the waitlist, prevent abuse, and send the promised launch communication. Cloudflare provides website hosting, request processing, and database infrastructure.
5. Notifications
Expiry reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device after you grant permission. You can turn them off in UseUp Settings or iOS Settings. UseUp does not operate a remote push-notification marketing system.
6. Optional product analytics
If you opt in, UseUp sends limited product-interaction data to Mixpanel so we can understand activation and retention. This may include a pseudonymous RevenueCat App User ID, app and device version, language, Pro status, onboarding completion, and actions such as marking an item as used. UseUp does not send food names, notes, photos, prices, recognized package text, contact details, or precise location to Mixpanel. IP-based geolocation is disabled. You can change this choice at any time in Settings.
7. Tracking, advertising, and sale of data
UseUp does not show third-party ads, track you across other companies' apps or websites, sell personal information, or use data for data-broker profiling. Optional Mixpanel analytics is used only to understand and improve UseUp.
8. Retention and deletion
App data remains until you delete it, uninstall the app, or remove it from iCloud. Apple and RevenueCat retain purchase records as required to operate the App Store and restore purchases. Optional analytics is retained according to UseUp's Mixpanel project settings. Turning analytics off stops future collection; you may request deletion of analytics or waitlist information by email.
9. Children
UseUp is a general-audience utility and is not directed to children under the minimum age required to consent to data processing in their country. We do not knowingly collect children's personal information.
10. Security, transfers, and changes
We use reasonable safeguards and service providers, including Apple, RevenueCat, Cloudflare, and—only for users who opt in—Mixpanel. Those providers may process information in other countries under their own legal safeguards. No security method is perfect. If this policy changes materially, the updated date and content will be posted here.

1. App 内的信息
你可以保存食材名称、数量、价格、到期日期、备注、照片、计划、购物清单和偏好。这些内容保存在设备本地。开启 iCloud 同步后，Apple 会将它们保存在与你 Apple 账户关联的私人 iCloud 数据库中并进行同步，吃光光开发者无法浏览该私人数据库。
2. 相机扫描与扫描日志
吃光光使用 Apple 的相机和 Vision 框架在设备本地识别包装文字，图片和识别文本不会上传到吃光光服务器。诊断扫描日志可能保存在 App 的本地文稿目录中，你可以在设置中查看、复制或清除；只有你主动分享时，它才会离开设备。
3. 购买
所有 App Store 购买均由 Apple 处理。RevenueCat 用于验证购买和 Pro 权益，可能为此处理匿名 App 用户标识、购买记录、交易状态、商店地区或国家以及基础 App/设备信息。吃光光不会收到你的银行卡信息，这些购买信息只用于提供和恢复已购功能、防止欺诈及排查购买交付问题。
4. 官网与候补名单
加入官网候补名单时，我们会收集邮箱地址，以及页面、来源、浏览器信息、国家代码和经过单向哈希处理的网络地址等有限请求信息，用于管理候补名单、防止滥用并发送已承诺的上线通知。Cloudflare 提供网站托管、请求处理和数据库基础设施。
5. 通知
到期提醒会在获得授权后由设备本地安排。你可以随时在吃光光设置或 iOS 设置中关闭。吃光光不使用远程推送进行营销。
6. 可选产品分析
如果你主动同意，吃光光会向 Mixpanel 发送有限的产品交互数据，用于了解激活与留存情况。这些数据可能包括一个假名化的 RevenueCat App 用户 ID、App 与设备版本、语言、Pro 状态、是否完成新手引导，以及“将食材标记为已使用”等操作。吃光光不会向 Mixpanel 发送食材名称、备注、照片、价格、包装识别文本、联系方式或精确位置，并已关闭基于 IP 的地理位置处理。你可以随时在设置中更改选择。
7. 跟踪、广告和数据出售
吃光光不展示第三方广告，不跨其他公司的 App 或网站跟踪你，不出售个人信息，也不将数据用于数据经纪画像。可选的 Mixpanel 分析仅用于了解和改进吃光光。
8. 保存与删除
App 数据会保留到你删除、卸载 App 或从 iCloud 移除为止。Apple 与 RevenueCat 会按运营 App Store 和恢复购买所需保存购买记录。可选分析数据会依照吃光光的 Mixpanel 项目设置保存。关闭分析会停止后续收集；你也可以通过邮件请求删除分析数据或候补名单信息。
9. 未成年人
吃光光是面向一般用户的工具，不以未达到所在国家或地区个人信息处理同意年龄的儿童为目标，也不会故意收集儿童个人信息。
10. 安全、跨境处理与政策变更
我们采取合理安全措施，并使用 Apple、RevenueCat、Cloudflare，以及仅在用户主动同意时使用 Mixpanel 等服务提供商。这些服务商可能依据其法律保障在其他国家或地区处理信息。任何安全方式都无法保证绝对安全。如政策发生重大变化，我们会在本页更新内容和日期。
